links in pdf documents

Hi everyone, I don't have much experience with this type of app, but I've been using publischer for a while now and I'm very excited about it. I would like to ask you experts for advice: I created a document where some images are linked to pdf files, but this file does not have "embedded" the other pdf files, there is no way or format to create a single file that includes also linked pdf files. Thanks, I hope I was clear.

When you create a new document, you can set how external files are handled. See partial screenshot

I am not sure I understand what you want to do but if you have linked PDF files in your document & want to embed them in it (creating a single but possibly much larger stand alone file) you should be able to do that using the Resource Manager & its Embed option.

Thanks for the reply, but I was unable to embed the pdf file. In resource manager the pdf files are not present, only the image associated with the link is shown. In the hyperlinks section I also selected the option to include the file in the export, but exporting in pdf, the file is opened only if it is physically in the folder where the project file is also present. Maybe the data merge function might be useful?

Then it sounds like you do not have any linked PDF files in your document. Can you explain more about what you mean by "the image associated with the link"? How did you add this image to your document & what type of file does the Resource Manager say it is?

Note that if the Resource Manager window is not wide enough, you may need to scroll it sideways to see the "Type" column.

Also, if you select it in the Resource Manager, what file path does it show?

in the attachment I put the screenshot of the resource manager, there are the jpeg files to which I linked the pdf files to open. when I created the link I also checked the option include files in export. the pdf is connected because I can open it if the file is present in the same folder where the project is.

Yes, that is the way it works. You do not get a single file.
