SCunniffArt Posted May 6, 2022 Posted May 6, 2022 I am working with a new print house and they are very helpful even going so far as to adjust the images I've submitted to improve the print. In one case he said he made an adjustment layer in Photoshop for Levels, then changed the mid-point to 1.1 or 1.08. He explained it would brighten the image generally, and bring out more details in the dark areas. I don't see a way to set the mid-point using Levels in Affinity Photo but it looks like adjusting gamma (in Levels) has a similar effect on the photo. My experience with photo editing is limited so I'm hoping those of you with broader experience will be able to point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance for your help. Quote
Staff Callum Posted May 9, 2022 Staff Posted May 9, 2022 Hi SCunniffArt, As far as I'm aware in the past users have used the Gamma slider as a way of doing this however you may need to experiment somewhat as the numerical value of the gamma slider likely wont match photoshops mid point. Thanks C Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
