Copying to and from Clip Studio Paint (CSP) and AD works well enough, but sizes are all over the place. Copying from AD to CSP results in the path being much smaller. Is there some way to set resolution so that both programs provide consistency?

Thanks all and I'm very glad to read that cat discussions are allowed.

Hi @kevphil,

Are both documents using the same DPI?  As that could cause some issues if they aren't.

As a test, in Designer if you set your document DPI to 72 and then click File>Export>SVG and click on the More button and remove the tick from Set Viewbox and import that into new 72DPI document in CSP via the File>Import>Vector option, does that import at the correct size?

Where do I find Document DPI? I was looking for such a setting, as there is in Illustrator.

My CSP doc is 300ppi, so I guess I'd start that way in AD--?

Thank You!

Try File > Document Setup for an existing document, or the DPI field when you're creating a new one via File > New.

Thanks, Walt and stokerg, but still no joy.

Interestingly, when I copy from AD, it comes into CSP a lot smaller. But when I then copy that same pasted path back into AD, it is smaller still. Very odd.

But Thanks again, guys.

I just saw the bottom part of your response. I don't see "Set Viewbox"--? but just saving with other defaults, it still comes into CSP very small.

In the Export window in AD, did you click the "More" button at the bottom?

Yes, no Viewbox--? Is it a resent option, I  have v1.9.1.979.

I do not think it is a recent addition but is there some reason you have not updated AD to the current version, which is 1.10.5?

Regardless, can you post a screenshot of the window that opens when you click the More button? Make sure you have selected the SVG tab in the Export window first.

I think I DO have the latest version on my work PC. I'm writing on my entertainment laptop.

Thanks R C-R!

@kevphil, in your screenshot of the More Window there is a scroll bar at the right, indicating you are only seeing the top part of that window's options. Try scrolling down & you should see several other options including Set viewBox below Export text as curves.

I untick the viewBox. Makes no difference. I tried 72ppi into a 300ppi CSP doc, and into a 72ppi CSP doc. The path STILL comes in small, both ways, when using the Clipboard. Now if I save the CSP doc at 72ppi. and Import a 72ppi SVG, size relation IS preserved. And I can also Import the same 72ppi SVG into a 300ppi CSP doc and size will be preserved, too.

Now this is NOT using the clipboard as the CSP people (CELSYS) say, but at least it resolves the size issue. I am using a PC, btw, so I don't know why the 72ppi works (and not 96ppi, which imports quite a bit bigger)...

SO I consider this problem "FIXED!" Thanks, all!
