JoeFine2 Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 Hello! Have all (3) Affinity apps, love them,.... but tried the new Pixelmator Pro with save to Motion5 file option. OMG, brilliant! Super cool if this was on your radar. Thanks! gregorymcgaughey 1 Quote
Staff MEB Posted May 4, 2022 Staff Posted May 4, 2022 Hi @JoeFine2, If you export the file with the PSD (Final Cut Pro X) preset doesn't it import correctly in Motion for you? Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
Guest Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 The Pixelmator Pro export actually saves it as a complete Motion project, including editable text, vector shapes, bitmap layers, etc. It's really well done, and is a bit of a game changer for us folks who regularly work with Motion. Quote
Staff MEB Posted May 4, 2022 Staff Posted May 4, 2022 Thanks for the input/feedback Bryan. I see your point. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
Guest Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 Somewhat related: Making it easier for folks using the Affinity apps to work well with other apps such as Figma, Final Cut Pro, Motion, DaVinci Resolve, DragonFrame, Spine, Keyshape, Glyphs, FontLab, Rive, Blender, Antidote, etc helps to reduce many folks reliance on those Adobe apps that aren't covered by the Affinity range (After Effects, Premiere, etc). Serif shouldn't create alternative apps for things outside of its primary business focus, but having better integration and support with those other apps that do focus on those areas would make the Affinity range that much more attractive and indispensable. I think it has been from the very start. Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
