CamilleL Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 I am using Mac OS 10.13.6 In this publisher document, which I created from an Indesign idml file, I created a text style called "Information" that uses 11 pt text. The list I created needs to overflow organically to the next page with a linked text box. The 1st image shows how it should look. The 2nd image shows that if I shorten the first text box, the text overflows to the next page and is TINY!!! The 3rd image show that if I lengthen the text box on the left side page, the text from the right side page moves the the 1st page and is ENORMOUS!!! I include the file. The problem shows up between pages 2 & 3. It also happened between pages 1 & 2, but I meticulously selected all the text that was wrongly sized and reassigned the text style to it. But that's a lot of work and i don't want to do that any more. Is this a glitch? Can you please fix it or explain why this is happening? Thank you. Happens frequently with opened IDML or PDF files. Workarounds could be resetting the fonts for the text frames or copying all the text and inserting it into new text frames. Staff NathanC Posted May 4, 2022 Staff Posted May 4, 2022 Hi @CamilleL welcome to the forums, Do you happen to still have your original IDML file? This will aid in the investigation of this issue. Quote
CamilleL Posted May 4, 2022 Author Posted May 4, 2022 HI Nathan Attached is the idml file I began with. I have since changed the file name to solo and side projects and reformatted the information. Once in publisher, I created text styles "information", "headers", "year" and "titles". Thanks for looking into this. EKS Discography Chronological.idml Quote

This will aid in the investigation of this issue. Serif has had countless .idml files to figure this out since there was an Affinity Publisher. On my system (Windows) .idml files, like with the OP's, when overflow is corrected by either auto-flowing or manually linking to a newly-created text frame, the text gets smaller. What is a "fun thing to do" is to then delete the new frame and page, and do it again. Then again. In my case, the newly flowed text gets progressively smaller each time. Quote
