Hi there!

I work with Affinity photo and Designer on my 64bit Windows 11. Designer works perfect but Affinity Photo never runs smoothly for a minute without Stopping! It displays a "Not Responding" badge and I can't do anything after that. Tried to name and save the files before so that I don't loose my work but I always loose the work eventually because it doesn't save the file once it has stopped. It usually ends up prompting me to close the application! Even the new update acts just the same.

Any help will be appreciated! Otherwise AFFINITY PHOTO has been very discouraging ever since I had it...almost 2 years now.

Thanks!

Hi. I find myself in much the same situation. Ever since first installed, I have never had AP run smoothly without unpredicatable crashes that I cannot replicate. The longest I think that I've had it run is about 15 minutes. On the other hand, AD has never hung up on me. I find it all really frustrating as I find the UI hard enough in the first place... Had the same trouble with frequent crashes with Page Plus many years ago.

This is my first post on this forum. Not sure if I should have started a new thread but my problem seemed so similar to that of the OP.

FWIW:

AP: 1.10.5.1342

OS: Win 10 Pro 64 bit up to date at 10.0.19044 Build 19044

Hardware: Gigabyte H310M S2H, Core i5-8600K 3.60GHz, 8GByte RAM, Intel 630 on-board graphics with 1GByte RAM

Hardware acceleration off but makes no difference anyway
