Hello,

I have installed the trial version of Affinity Photo to my laptop, however when i try to work the program doesn't respond. It freezes during or a little while after upload of different images or psd files and open new document.

What can i do? I tried windows restart pc and reinstall the prograram but no change.

First thing you can try is to go into...

Edit > Preferences > Performance

and switch off (untick) Hardware Acceleration

Let us know if that makes a difference

In the same screen as above, try changing the Renderer setting to Warp (and restart the program)

Updating the graphics card driver can help. And be shure Windows is up-to-date.

Hi @Eva_Tand Welcome to the Forums,

Could you try @carl123 suggestion of changing thee display setting to WARP and see if that helps?

As well as making sure Windows is up to date :)

OK, changing to Warp was just to try to narrow down where the problem lies, which is probably with your graphic card drivers

Warp will work fine but for the best performance it's better to use your graphics card, so checking and updating your graphic card drivers is normally the next step to resolving this issue.

But since you are just using the trial at the moment you may not want to do that if you just want to have a play with the software

But if later you want to buy it then fixing the issue would give you better performance
