I have a photographer who shoots my artwork so that I can have a high resolution image for printing and also to capture the colors more accurately than I can with my phone. The problem is that when I look at the photos on my monitor, the colors seem off. I have calibrated my monitor using Data Color's Spyder tool so I wouldn't expect the colors to be that far off yet they don't look quite right.

So with the last batch of photos, I asked him to shoot the Spyder Checker Card which has 24 boxes with specific colors. Data Color provided me with a chart that has all the Adobe RGB values for each of those 24 colors. Using the color picker I am able to select one color a a time from the photo and can see that the values are different.

Is there an adjustment tool or method that I can use to set the color to the given RGB values from the Data Color chart? I'm open to ideas, just low on experience. I don't expect the RGB values for each boxes to be 100% accurate but if I could get the more obvious differences resolved, then hopefully it will be close enough.

What monitor are you using? Calibrating with the Spyder or a corresponding hardware doesn't necessarily mean the monitor shows 'true' colour if the monitor doesn't support the desired colour space respectively support it sufficiently.

If the photos are taken with sufficient and even light but their colours differ from your artwork I assume all colours differ in the same way (not just the reds or certain blues for instance). Then it would be sufficient to adjust only the White Balance of the photos.

To control / compare colour values of a certain spot you can use a "Sampler" of the Info Panel, placed simply by dragging or created via menu.
