Affinity Publisher
When I paste a text in greek in a text frame, then the accents in every word are mispositioned; either higher or shifted a bit on the right or left. Should I set some kind of greek preset before pasting a text?
The problem is that when I try to write the same text directly in affinity, then everything works fine, but I need to paste my extended text.

thank you in advance for any possible help!

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums, @georgel.

  1. What OS do you use?
  2. What application are you copying the text from?
  3. What font is it using?
  4. What font are you using in your Publisher document when you type the text directly?

Can you type some text into a sample document that you can share with us, then paste some text into it to show the problem, then Save the .afpub file and attach it for us to look at?

This can happen when it is very old text (or someone with old bad habits) which has separate base characters and an old separate accent character inserted after it, rather than the modern single character with the accent included (which has its own Unicode code point). One of the problems with those old accent characters is they cannot be positioned properly on all the different-width base characters so the accents appear to shift left or right, up or down.
We would have to see your source text.

When you type directly into Affinity the proper modern accented characters are being used.
So you do not see the issue.

There is also another possibility - recently there was an issue posted where Affinity appeared to be incorrectly decomposing a composite character, like your accented characters.
Again, we would have to see your original source text.
