JCSJCS Posted May 1, 2022 Posted May 1, 2022 Hello, I am trying to open and edit some .EPS files. In Publisher, Designer, and Photo they show up completely empty. The files work just fine in illustrator, photoshop, Preview - just not Affinity apps. Search around the common cause seems to be zeroing the x/y coordinates, but this is not the case here. There is no layer information. Very frustrating as once again the issue only exists on Affinity's stuff. Could anyone point me in the right direction on how to make these files work? Quote
firstdefence Posted May 1, 2022 Posted May 1, 2022 @JCSJCS Can you upload one of the eps files? FWIW, I can open that file without problems in AD, AP, or APub, with all of its curve layers visible in its 7 groups in the top level Layer container object. As opened in APub, it looks like this: Each of those "(Group)" container layers contains a great many curve layers, for example 404 in the top one, but everything seems to be there, although some of it is partially off of the canvas. I can also save it as an .afpub file without problems. I could post that here but I won't without knowing its source, since it might be a copyrighted work. JCSJCS Posted May 1, 2022 Author Posted May 1, 2022 Ok, great to know it's on my end at least. Is there anything I should check on my end to revert this behaviour? Quote

Can you replicate this opening issue consistently? Which version of both OS X and Affinity Designer are you using, this might help others with a similar or the same setup as you when testing. I suspect it's just a glitch and closing the app will rectify the issue or a reboot of the system.
