I have been able to successfully export a specially created palette previously but it no longer seems to be working. I am using firmware 1.10.5.1342 (under Help -> About).

I wish to use a new PC and I need to export all the created swatches for my various customers so that I can seamlessly continue work on their projects.  It seems that when I try to export the require Swatch, the option to export it is greyed out - see attached.

What am I missing?  The Help file is far too simplistic for me to work out what I am doing wrong.  I have followed those instructions and it is no different to what I have been trying.  Please help.  Thank you.

Please let us see more context, such as the complete Swatches panel, not just that menu.

Also, do you have a document open?

Thanks for the added info.

I'm not sure what's going on. You seem to have an Application Palette, and I can export those (on Windows).

However, it seems to have Spot colors in it, which from the Help can only appear in Document Palettes, as Spot colors must also be Global. So, you shouldn't be able to have them in an Application Palette if the Help is correct (and if I'm reading it correctly).

Did you do anything unusual in creating that Palette?

I appreciate your response.  These are Pantone colours that a client has standardised on.  As it turns out, this is an example that I had already moved to the new computer so it is a bit puzzling.  I get the same greyed out option when I use spot colours or not in Application Palette and Document Palette.  This issue is only occurring since I updated the firmware.  I might run some tests on the other computer, as well.

Hi @Eddo1971,

Thanks for your report and I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble!

I've tried to replicate this here, however in all of my testing I'm still able to export the palette, as expected - so I'm not certain what is causing this for you currently, my apologies.

In the meantime, please open Windows Run (Windows Key + R) then paste the following string and press OK:

%AppData%\Affinity\Designer\1.0\user\

In the window that opens, please select the fills.propcol file, then copy this file to your new PC using your preferred method.

On your new computer, open the same file location as above and paste the .propcol file here - you should find that the new installation of Designer has access to all of your swatches, as required.

Out of interest, once the above steps have been completed, are you able to export the palettes from the new Designer installation?

Many thanks in advance :)
