Looks good to me but which brown part are you talking about?

The light brown reflection on the glass?

or the dark brown that makes up most of the glass?

Hi @Josie

There's nothing wrong with the way your version looks. If you want to make the bottom more rounded simply adjust the two anchor points until you’re satisfied with the shape.

If you want to make it look even more like in the reference, this is what I usually do:

First I make as many layers as I need and I rename them accordingly; in this example would be main body, pink cream, cherry, yellow straw, and extra details.

Then I make the line work for each separate shape in their respective layer using the pencil tool.

To add color, for each separate shape, I go to Edit, select Insert Behind and with the layer selected I use the Pen Tool to trace each shape under the curves/linework.

This way I have complete control over the composition and I can reshape it for future use as I please. All the best!

So I can trace it with the pen tool and adjust the nodes as needed?

Absolutely! The versatility of the Pen Tool is unmatched in vector graphic, I think. In my opinion no other tool comes even close to it — especially for tracing.

@Josie Depending of how complex a design is, I think. Personally I always do the line work with the Pencil Tool, and the tracing underneath with the Pen Tool.

@Josie

Use the Pen Tool with a thick curve for arms and legs. Use the Pencil Tool with a thiner curve for hands and feet contour. Use the Pen Tool to trace the feet and hands linework as shown in the video above.
