escape panel input fields with the esc key

after focusing a panel input field with the mouse, such as stroke width, it would be great if "esc" would enable keystrokes to once again control the canvas, rather than entering values in to the input field. A keyboard alternative to clicking the canvas again.

Again something that has to work in the next version before I will pay for an upgrade.
