Thomahs Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 Hello! Macbook Pro, running Big Sur 11.1 Affinity Photo and Publisher have both done this to me at different times. What happens is that while the program is opening, a window pops up that asks if I want to update to the latest version. However, a little wheel spins in the middle of the window where some more information should be, that never appears. Instead the window just sits there, and doesn't let me close out of it, or continue to use Photo, which freezes. I then can see by Control clicking the icon that the app is "not responding" and have to force quit it. Sometimes this automatic update frozen window does not pop up, but right now it is ocnsistently, and I cannot update, or use Photo. Publisher is currently opening. Help! Thanks, -Tom Quote
Dan C Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 Hi @Thomahs, Welcome to the Affinity Forums Sorry to see you're having trouble! We can workaround this issue by downloading the full 1.10.5 update, rather than updating within the app. Please visit the below link to download the latest version - https://store.serif.com/update/macos/photo/1/ Once downloaded, install this using the usual method. You should see a dialog appear informing you the app is already installed, simply select Replace here and the update should install, retaining your custom settings etc. I hope this helps! Quote
