When i straighten an image using the crop tool > select straighten:
The ruler and everything works and the image straightens but all straight edges are left with jaggies all along the edges.
This doesnt seem to happen when in the develop persona.

Hello @Simonkidd, and welcome to the forums.

Are you viewing the image at 100% zoom in both the Develop and photo personas?

Hello
Yes, done all that and tried various files this week. I used to test software in the past and this is a bug in the photo persona.
Picture attached from the same ARW (Sony RAW file) file.
I have first straightened the file in the Develop persona - no problem
Then I have developed the file (with no straightening) and then straightened in the Photo persona

Picture shows the jaggies from the photo persona overlaid on the output from the develop persona.
Images zoomed in 100%. 16 bit sRGB colour space.

Regards

Hi @Simonkidd welcome to the forums,

Have you got view quality set to 'Bilinear (Best Quality)' under Preferences > Performance? This can result in improved render quality.

Also, if you're wanting to export the image try setting Resample to Lanczos or Bicubic.

This has been raised previously in the below thread, which also indicates this can be affected by image DPI.

Ah thank you.
I checked the exported files from either route and they were ok. (I already set to Bicubic). I didnt get that far before as I was in 'Whats going on here' mode.
Then I changed the render to BiLinear from Nearest Neighbour and all is well.

Thanks
