After entering project cant get out, used to be an arrow or some icon in top left of screen to go back….its gone. So stuck in project.

This occured after creating new project and attempting to add content to it. Instead of adding content to new project, content was added to project adjacent to the new project, this happen twice inability to add contect to new project. After restart, added content to new project.

Again attempting to add content to project 2x, content ends up in wrong project, but exit arrow present. I have been able to get 2 files in new project, so not empty any more, but failed to add more.

I was very careful to drag “square” or file directly over project as I thot, maybe me being sloppy, but no same result sometimes it goes in an sometimes not.

Like all carefully designed software projects, they do as they jolly well please!

A screen recording might help.

But if I have understood what you've said, you're trying to drag a file onto a project on the Home Screen of Photo, and put it into a project that you already have?

If so, I don't think that will work. I think you have to Open the project, then drag the file into it.

Correct.

If you open a project, how can you drag something to it, since the only files you can see are already in the project! This is the iPad app, when project open there are no files outside the project that are visible.

Drag slowly up from the bottom of the screen until you get the application menu bar, and select the Files application. It should appear on the right-side of your screen, and you can drag from it onto an opened project in Photo, which will be on the rest of the screen.

If you try to drag onto the Home Page, you just end up with the file as a new stand-along project there, I think.

While attempting to do what you describe, I’m in a project, again with no way out!, no return icon in upper left. Again this occured after creating a new project.

How do I get out of this situation without a reboot?

Dragging up slowly while in a project displays these recent items. If I recently access files it would display here but couldnt drag file that would require 2 separate windows displayed. iPad can do this but dont know how to show both simultaneously.

I cant even get ipad to display what is in this screenshot again. Tried again just now and it works maybe needed a rest.

After rotating my ipad 180 degrees it started working and was able to do what you describe, but much easier usually by dragging from AP desktop into desired project.

After reading about the wiley random irreversible rectangle ruining hours of peoples work, I’m embarrassed about even suggesting my miniscule pesky problem even exists, its fine I’ll just keep my moaning to myself.
