There’s some very noticeable chromatic aberration in that last picture of this lovely set.

Yeah the last image focus unfortunately is a bit off. CA correction was used for all, but couldn‘t fix the last. Any ideas how to get this fixed?

None at all, I’m sorry to say. Perhaps someone else here will have some helpful suggestions.

I agree. At least it's a different kind of bird based on the beak shape.

Good photos.

John

Sounds probable. Edited my post to reflect the findings. Buzzards wingspan about 130cm, crow up to 100cm.
I see crows mostly down on earth, looking smaller, and buzzards always in the sky, looking larger.

Yesterday I saw two crows chasing a falcon. The latter did not flee, but was just trying to out manoeuvre the crows in a restricted area in which the aerial pursuit took place. It was fascinating to watch. I guess such events take place anywhere in the skies above this planet.

Falcons are typically masters of aerial combat and flight. In addition, hardly any other bird is as fast. Therefore, I assume that it was not a large peregrine falcon. Otherwise it might not end well for individual crows here!

Yes, that's right, because I've seen it all over the world. Over rainforests, over desert plains or over cities. You name it.

These are crows asking a bird of prey to leave the area, and they often do so by harassing them, breaking their concentration and interfering with their hunt. It rarely gets dramatic, but the bird of prey simply can't really hunt in peace. It's very simple.

I've seen birds of all shapes and sizes work together to be wary of the large birds of prey, and warn each other well in advance. But it's the big crows that have to fly up and and disturb the intruding bird.

10 Reasons Why Strategic Plans Fail
Having a plan simply for plans sake - Not understanding the environment or focusing on results - Partial commitment - Not having the right people involved - Writing the plan and putting it on the shelf - Unwillingness or inability to change - Having the wrong people in leadership positions - No accountability or follow through - Unrealistic goals or lack of focus and resources.

Get it?

Thanks for sharing this explanation. It fully matches what i observed that day. Unfortunately i did not see the Bussard again, despite he was in this area for multiple years. Seems the crows succeeded with their strategy.
