Affinity Rat Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 I see a Noise Slider on the HSL Slider tab, moving the slider gives the impression the selected colour has noise…OK great, but what do I need to do to see the effect? On a pixel layer, neither brushes nor fill show the noise effect despite the color sample appearing to have noise. Whats the trick to see noise? Quote
Affinity Rat Posted April 28, 2022 Author Posted April 28, 2022 It would appear that the noise parameter only relates to fill layers. If so the option should be grayed out for non-fill layers. That doesnt make sense either, why would foreground line colour display noise if its only used for fill layers? Quote

The 'Noise' option however does not apply when adding Pixel content, such as using the Paint Brush, or 'filling' a Pixel layer, as they are different from a Fill Layer. I hope this clears things up!
