affinityUser2918 Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 I have a square in a very light grey with an outer shadow also in a very light grey and a distance of 50px. In Affinity Designer the square looks how I want it to look (Screenshot 1, its hard to see but you can see it better in Screenshot 2), but when I export it, the outer shadow turns into a single grey pixel line (Screenshot 2) The picture has a resolution of 1050 x 400 px. Anyone an idea why that happens? The exported file is not really useable with that grey outer line... Quote
Old Bruce Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 Hi and welcome to the forums @affinityUser2918, What sort of export? Could you check and see if there is a stroke applied to the Rectangle. What is the blend mode for the layer and are there any other layers in the document? Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
affinityUser2918 Posted April 24, 2022 Author Posted April 24, 2022 Hi @Old Bruce There are a lot of layers in this document, however I use the export persona and only exported the layer of this particular square-layer (the square is a single layer) as a png. There is no stroke and the blend mode is set to "Normal"... The square is converted to curves, but that shouldn't affect the shadow I think? Quote
thomaso Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 I do see an outline occur while adjusting shadow properties – but I can't reproduce it in an exported PNG. Neither as shape object nor curve, neither as bilinear nor bicubic export. – Can you upload an Affinity document containing this layer + your PNG as embedded image? affinityUser2918 Posted April 24, 2022 Author Posted April 24, 2022 Ok, thanks @thomaso for trying to replicate, but I found the problem. It actually wasn't in Affinity Designer but in the program where I used the exported png (Unity). There seems to be a problem with importing the alpha of the shadow. I didn´t find a working solution yet but I´ll transfer the question to another forum as it is not an Affinity Designer problem anymore. Thanks for helping! thomaso 1 Quote
