NoLongerHere Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 A fairly quick one. The best reference was still rather blurry but I quite like the outcome. MattP, NotMyFault, Danika and 9 others 11 1 Quote

I've known some who would (and did), but in this case (from that article) it was self-chosen; real name was Horst Paul Albert Bohrmann. Ah OK, I'll let them off Why you'd choose that yourself I'm not sure. I guess it's easier to remember. Quote
AlanPickup Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 Completely off topic but picking up on the "what parent comment". In the north west of England it was common for a child to be given the surname as the forename in the past, we have had many Fish Fish, Eccles Eccles and in my own line I have an ancestor called Pickup Puckup. Also naming a child Doctor as a first name. this was common up to the first world war. Never been able to find the logic behind it, was mentioned that it may have been related to the seventh son in the family line, but never found the definitive answer Quote Alan Pickup Windows 11 Home all Affinity suite of Apps PC and Gigabyte Laptop 16gb Ram and Nvidia GTX1660 Super on each.
