JValentine Posted April 23, 2022 Posted April 23, 2022 Hi I can’t get my Luminar apps to work as a plugin in Affinity Photo, is there a reason for this? My other plugins work all except any Luminar apps! Is there something that I need to do extra, I am running a Mac desktop. Info attached. Jo-Ann Quote
Staff DWright Posted April 25, 2022 Staff Posted April 25, 2022 If you change your colour space to RGB/8 does the plugin work Quote
JValentine Posted April 25, 2022 Author Posted April 25, 2022 Still doesn’t work, I’ve tried just about every combination possible, it just hangs, any suggestion would be welcome! Quote
Pechorin Posted June 12, 2022 Posted June 12, 2022 Same here. It doesn't open. I get the exact same issue. Quote
firstdefence Posted June 12, 2022 Posted June 12, 2022 You would be better talking to Skylum about Luminars incompatibility with Affinity Photo or Affinity/serif would be better liaising with Skylum to find a solution if one can be found. but I'd say it's just not possible to get luminar to work without some code changes to luminar. JValentine Posted June 15, 2022 Author Posted June 15, 2022 Affinity Photo and Luminar Skylum should get together and find a solution to fix this problem with Apple products. Apparently Window users don’t seem to have this problem, WHY? Quote

Plugins have always worked more favourably on Windows than Mac. I used to believe this, too. However, the latest release of ON1 Photo RAW 2022.5 now runs Luminar Neo as a plugin. So, it apparently can be done with a code tweak on the editor's side. JValentine Posted June 21, 2022 Author Posted June 21, 2022 I’ve messaged both Affinity and Skylum about the inability to have Luminar as a plugin. All I get is we are looking into it!!!!!! Quote
