vanoak Posted April 23, 2022 Posted April 23, 2022 (edited) Hello, Been using Photo for some time now in Big Sur without problems on a Mid-2014 MacBook Pro . I switched to a new computer last week with M1 Pro chipset and drag artefacts started to show when I move a layer. I included a video file and the file itself. Thank you. cartaz_alquimia_final.afphoto Untitled.mov Edited April 23, 2022 by vanoak the movie did not show the start of the drag Quote
Staff stokerg Posted April 23, 2022 Staff Posted April 23, 2022 Hi @vanoakand Welcome to the Forums, Thanks for the file and screen recording, thats a big help. I use an M1 2020 MacBook Air and can't replicate the issue. I'll get someone on the QA team with a Pro to try this. For now could you just try going into Preferences for Affinity and on the Performance section there is a tick box for Enable Metal compute acceleration, untick this and close Preferences and you'll be asked to restart Affinity. Once restarted, see if you can replicate the issue. Quote
vanoak Posted April 23, 2022 Author Posted April 23, 2022 (edited) hi @stokerg, Yes, the same occurs with Metal disabled. EDIT: I might have figured it out. It's the Retina Rendering setting. If Automatic is selected the artefacts are shown. All other options are working as they should and no artefacts are drawn. Edited April 23, 2022 by vanoak probably found out the issue Quote
