I have an SVG file I purchased for making full sized cutting boards.  However, since I want to cut them in 1:48 scale, I need to fill in the "hole" or "slot" of the cutting board (where you would normally hold it to carry) to make it a solid piece.  Somehow, I got one actually done and now I don't know how I did it!  I was messing around with the Fill tool, but that's all I can figure out.  Can someone help?  This is probably a 5 second solve.

Thank you,
Marilyn

If I understand correctly it is a case of deleting the curve that represents the hole in each profile. If you double-click on a shape then it will select all the curves in it and also switch you into using the node tool. Then select one node on the hole curve; press Ctrl+A and then Delete.

The add function didn't work for me
And ctrl+a didn't either

Maybe a Layer > Fill Mode change?

FYI....for future reference.

or:
You can do them all in one shot (in less than 5 seconds 😉)
1) select everything (doesn't have to be with the node tool. You don't have to select any nodes.)
2) Divide
3) Add
4 optional) Divide (if you want them all as separate objects again)

On an individual board it's just: select the object, divide, add.
