Gutsmgee Posted April 20, 2022 Posted April 20, 2022 I made a simple 150 page book. Exported it to desktop. Opened it to look at it and it only exported 1 page. I selected 150 pages. Any ideas? Quote
walt.farrell Posted April 20, 2022 Posted April 20, 2022 Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. You shouldn't have needed to select any of the pages to get the entire book exported. Thus, my first guess would be that you didn't do the selection correctly. But without screenshots (or a video) of how you made the selection, and what you specified in the Export dialog, I can't say anything more. Basically, File > Export, click the PDF tab, and either use this default: or change the Area to All Pages and click Export. You can also change Presets to one of the other PDF presets, of course, but for your export problem the Area is the important setting. Gutsmgee Posted April 20, 2022 Author Posted April 20, 2022 Thank you for your reply. I’ve tried both of those variants to no luck yet. I’m using the “Print” preset, and setting the dpi to 300 with bleed and with preview. I’ve tried both area settings you’ve recommended and when I export it, the preview only shows 1 page and it won’t upload to KDP as it says there’s only 1 page. This is a new MacBook Pro 14 inch with brand new Affinity Publisher software. Thank you for your time. Quote

walt.farrell Posted April 20, 2022 Posted April 20, 2022 Thanks for the screenshot. You have asked for page 150, so that's all it gave you. Just do it like I showed. You can even enter pages out of order like 13, 2, 1, 8, to export just those pages in that order. But to export all pages in their normal page order, you can just leave that field empty. The UI of the Export dialog doesn't make this clear, nor do the help pages, so you just have to figure out on your own that the two 'All' options actually only mean 'all' pages or spreads if you either leave the Pages: field blank or enter the full range of pages (like 1-150 for a 150 page document). It is a powerful but not at all obvious feature of the Affinity apps.
