Hi

I'm looking for similar option(I linked image to this post) in Photo. I found Selective color fillter, BUT it lacks colors like in photoshop. lIke purple. Is there similar functionality?

My main case of use is when I have this photo, that was taken in god knows what light conditions, photos are heavily purple (Tint slider won' thelping), so I use this feature in photoshop, and easily remove any purple/Blue/magenta.

Thank you!

You have several options to tackle selected colors:

  • hsl adjustment lets you select and fine-tune colors. Maybe the best option in this case
  • selective colors has its pre-defined range
  • you can select by sampled color, and adjust tolerance
  • you can select with magic wand / flood select tool
  • defringe filter  lets you choose colors, but works best in purple / green range
  • a fill layer with blend mode divide (and reduced opacity) can remove color casts
  • the white balance adjustment
  • curves adjustment, maybe in LAB mode
  • channel mixer adjustment, in LAB mode
  • Levels adjustment, in LAB or RGB mode
