TopRobRoy Posted April 20, 2022 Posted April 20, 2022 I've taken a screenshot of what my image looks like from the browser. I accept the circular diagram on the right doesn't look great, but it's the best I was able to receive from another site, where I've given attribution on the article. However I've created text and other stuff to the left, directly in Photo. Why is it not crisp and clear and can I improve it more. I resampled the document to 300 dpi after I placed the image on the right. I've also added the affinity document here, as it may help to discover where I'm going wrong. I exported it to a JPG of 300 dpi and reduced it's size by about 5%. Thanks LocalitEEEWhatIsACircularEconomy.afphoto Quote
NotMyFault Posted April 20, 2022 Posted April 20, 2022 The letters are only about 10px large. This is really small for vector fonts to get readable result. You could try play with blend range / coverage map, or experiment with other fonts. For text such small, you would need hand-crafted bitmap fonts - which have long fallen out of favor. Or export as SVG (fonts as curves) if this could be a solution. LocalitEEEWhatIsACircularEconomy.svg Quote ---------- Windows 10 / 11, Complete Suite Retail and Beta
TopRobRoy Posted April 20, 2022 Author Posted April 20, 2022 Thanks. I found a plugin that makes changes to some of the config files. Works at treat and now looks much better. It's a 500k file now, as that's what looked the best, exporting as curves from AfPh I think it doesn't impact speed though. Not sure if anyone else has every had performance issues because of this before. I may start using SVG's for new images now, and convert some of the others over time. As ever, great Community here Quote
