Every time i purposely or  accidentally rotate the canvas i end up having to go to the view -> reset rotation menu in order to straighten the canvas. It's otherwise impossible to line it up straight again using the cmd+wheel rotation method. I think this would be fixed if the rotation was set to increments instead of an arbitrarily determined amount. It feels to me like there might be some sort of acceleration function happening the faster you use the wheel. So perhaps a way to disable that?

Thanks guys!

A couple of thoughts, in case they help:

1. To prevent accidental rotation you can disable the function completely in Preferences.

2. You can assign a shortcut key to View > Reset Rotation.

Hi @robz welcome to the forums,

You can completely disable the canvas rotation as Walt mentioned in the 'Tools' section of preferences and then assign keyboard shortcuts under the 'view' menu for left/right rotation as well as 'Reset Rotation'.
