I'm trying to make a symbol an asset also trying to make a layer group from layers panel an asset. I've followed tutorials and can't see where i'm going wrong. I drag the/layer grouping by click and drag from layers panel or from the canvas, i get a green plus symbol as i'm doing it. As soon as i reach the assets panel though it disappears under the panel.

With the symbol i try dragging from the symbols panel and it will only drag to the canvas. So same as above but no green plus sign. Can anyone advise whether i am doing something wrong or whether assets are just not working?

It will let me use assets that are already there, but interestingly the file i ud=sed them with kept crashing!

I'm using apple powerbook m1

Help! I really want to use symbols across documents.

Thanks

Paula

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums.

If you're on Windows you probably need to use the option Add From Selection on the Assets panel, rather than dragging.
