TOC number alignment

Hi All,

Is there a way in Publisher to create an autogenerated table of contents so that the page number aligns with first line of the chapter title. So, assume that the chapter has a long title that flows over two or three lines, I want the chapter's page number to align with the first (not with the last, which appears to be the default).

Obviously, I can just create a manual TOC, but that sort of defeats the purpose.

I can't think of a way to do this. The page number is to the right of the TOC entry. While you could offset the page number from the baseline, it would be that way for every TOC entry which wouldn't work.

Thanks. Yes, I considered that, and rejected it for the same reason. Maybe I could do it with a style just for those entries whose titles go over two lines?

Yes, you could just apply a character style to those page numbers. The baseline offset should be the same as the paragraph leading value.
