newjean
Starting on my first image, trying to end my many, many year relationship with Photoshop, which I used mostly for web image manipulation, nothing too fancy. For the life of me, I can't figure out how to delete the white (background) in the attached image. In Photoshop, I just use the magic wand tool and set the tolerance to 0, hit delete and boom, it's gone. How do I do that in AP?

ejmdesign
I have the same question, can you list the steps to change the background color?
Staff MEB Posted December 15, 2015 Staff Share Posted December 15, 2015 Hi ejmdesign, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) There's no way to set a custom colour for the background/canvas. You can set it to transparent going to menu Document and check Transparent Background, or if you want to pick a custom colour go to menu Layer ▸ New Fill Layer then select a colour for it in the Colour panel and place that layer at the bottom in the Layers panel.
