lvlconcepts Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 Since a few weeks, I got the problem, that affinity photo often shows me the “rainbow” loading symbol on macOS. There are no really intense tasks or something, just normal editing of some photos. But the loading symbol occurs every few seconds or minutes and makes working nearly impossible... Has anybody the same issues or a solution? I'm using the latest macOS on an M1 Max MBPro btw Quote
Dan C Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 Hi @lvlconcepts, Welcome to the Affinity Forums Can you please open the Affinity app and then navigate to Affinity Photo > Preferences > Performance. In the dialog that opens, change the Renderer from Metal to OpenGL. Restart the app and then try editing your document/image once again - does this reduce the delay you're experiencing please? Quote
lvlconcepts Posted April 14, 2022 Author Posted April 14, 2022 Thanks for your fast response! I tried the settings you suggested, and now it seems to run smoothly. Thanks for the help! Dan C 1 Quote
