jchrisj52 Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 I have a colour cast problem when printing from Affinity to my Canon Pixma ip8750. I believe it might relate to upgrading my laptop from Windows 10 to Windows 11 because I haven't altered any of my printer settings and I have previously successfully printed black and white images from Affinity with this printer. I can still print without problem using the same printer with Canon DPP software. Has anyone else noticed a similar problem? Quote
Staff Lee D Posted April 14, 2022 Staff Posted April 14, 2022 Hi @jchrisj52 Welcome to the forums. Can you provide a screenshot of the document open in Affinity and a image of the printout? Also can you let me know your print settings from within Affinity. Quote
jchrisj52 Posted April 14, 2022 Author Posted April 14, 2022 Hi, the attached files should give you what you have requested. Any assistance that you can give me to resolve the issue would be much appreciated. Quote
AndrewG Posted October 20, 2022 Posted October 20, 2022 Hi, I also have a colour cast when printing to a monochrome image my Canon IP8750 (Adobe RGB colour space). However, I have the same blue colour cast when I print from Affinity Photo to PDF (so its not a fault with my Canon printer) - but the image looks fine on my calibrated monitor. The problem is intermittent as a few prints come out ok then the blue colour cast occurs! I downloaded a black & white test image from the web (which is in a different colour space - gray gamma) and it printed ok. Any further thoughts on how to resolve this, please? Quote

AndrewG Posted October 20, 2022 Posted October 20, 2022 Thanks for your response. I think I have identified the problem. I had a sharpening macro at the top of my layer stack. If I create a consolidated layer I am not having the problem with the blue colour cast. Hopefully that was the reason.... Quote
