Dangerous Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 There are times that I find I want/need to turn off either the fill or the stroke of a layer (not both) without loosing the original colour. If when on a shape or curve layer then checking/ unchecking the show/hide box controls both the stroke & fill. Is it possible to add a check box for stroke and one for fill. I don't know if others need this option but I'm sure many would and they have just not thought about it. Quote
GarryP Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 If by “the show/hide box” you mean the Toggle Visibility button in the Layers Panel then that just toggles the visibility of that entire layer (layer is visible or invisible). In Photo you can ‘toggle’ the visibility of the Stroke by setting the Stroke to None via the Stroke controls in the Context Toolbar. Setting it back to not None should restore the previous stroke. I don’t think there is an equivalent for Fill but someone else may have better information. Note: In Designer (not Photo) there is the Outline View Mode which might help in some situations. Quote
Dangerous Posted April 14, 2022 Author Posted April 14, 2022 Yes I mean the toggle visibility box. Thanks for the tip about the NONE for the stroke, I didn't realise it was there. It is actually the fill I need to turn off more times than the stroke. I have realised I can do that by using the stroke OPACITY to hide the fill and revert it back but all that take time. The 'new' toggle boxes could just trigger those controls. Selecting the layers and clicking one box would be far easier. Might have a look to see if I can do this by macros. It would be nice to assign icons to macros rather than just text. I've had the 10 day free trial of AD and considering getting it at some point. The Outline mode may help if you can continue editing layers while in it. Quote
