Luddite Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 Hi I am an absolute amateur. Love Affinity Designer, but don't have a lot of talent. I use the software for making greetings cards and Church Posters, so very simple. I have bought additional fonts but finding it hard to choose what to use. It would really help me if I could print off a list of the options. I know it sounds like I should have a stone tablet and chisel, but I am elderly and scrolling up and down for choices is tedious and I seem to lack imagination for the visual. I have tried 'print screen' but I get the whole screen and not just the content of the drop down text window. I have tried Ctrl and A on the drop down window but that doesn't work either. To be fair I know the programme isn't designed for this - but just thought someone might know a workaround. Thank you in advance. Luddite Quote
thomaso Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 There is an online tool which displays a custom text in the fonts installed on your computer: https://wordmark.it/ You can use the commands in your browser to adjust the size of the various previews, respectively the number of previews filling your screen (without scrolling). To keep the entire page as file for later reference you could print it as PDF. Dan C and Callum 2 Quote macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1
GarryP Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 If you are using Windows 10/11 (maybe earlier) you can use File Explorer and go to “C:\Windows\Fonts” to then view some basic examples for each font – see attached image. Double-click on a particular font to see a preview, which you can print if you want to. Quote
thomaso Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 … also there are various free font viewers around / some of them as font managers, too. For instance… https://listoffreeware.com/list-of-best-free-font-viewer-software/ kenmcd 1 Quote macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1
