evtonic3
Until a vector pattern function comes along, I have adopted this method to create high res raster patterns. I don't think you can see the differences in raster and vector unless you zoom in really close, but who's gonna do that to your artwork. Anyway, my video shows a simple pattern. Enjoy! https://www.dropbox.com/s/tnl1c7bun6lcuxw/Raster%20Pattern%20in%20Affinity%20Designer.mp4?dl=0 JFisher, anon1, stokerg and 1 other

Madame
Yes, it's working now, but the quality is low, so it's very difficult to see your settings (what you are typing in the boxes). However the method is great. :) Quote - Affinity Photo 2.3.0 - Affinity Designer 2.3.0 -Affinity Publisher 2.3.0 MacBook Pro 16 GB MacOS Sonoma 14.1.

However the method is great. :) You have to DL the full res version apparently in Dropbox. SORRY!
evtonic3
I failed to mention, if you ever need to tweak the pattern, just save your original .designer file to always be able to edit your pattern.
Madame
Thank you, now I could see it. What exactly did you do when you repeated the stars (on the edge)? I saw you "were in the edit menu", but not what you did. Sorry for all the questions; the hazard of sharing.. ;) Quote - Affinity Photo 2.3.0 - Affinity Designer 2.3.0 -Affinity Publisher 2.3.0 MacBook Pro 16 GB MacOS Sonoma 14.1.
evtonic3
Thank you, now I could see it. What exactly did you do when you repeated the stars (on the edge)? I saw you "were in the edit menu", but not what you did. There I just copy-pasted the star then with one right arrow key press the star moved over to the other side. In the beginning I set a nudge to be the same size as the doc to allow this to be precise placement of the stars on the edges.
Madame
Thank you, one happy girl here. :) Yes I noticed the "nudge input". Madame
The vector pattern function of which app? Affinity has none. Hi, it's the gradient tool in both Affinity Designer and Photo. Fill>Bitmap. It's not vector pattern though.
