I am trying to reinstall the software from My Account Purchases and Affinity Installer keeps saying "...stopped working..."  I have tried full uninstall and new download with the same result.  Can anyone help, please?  I am still on Win7 until I replace my laptop (not imminent).  I have a suspicion that Restoro software may have has messed with Win7 in some way.

Hi @DaveKeyworth,

Welcome to the Affinity Forums :)

Can you please confirm for me, do you have the Service Pack 1 for Windows 7 installed? As this is required for Affinity applications on this OS.

As well as the Service Pack 1, Affinity requires the Platform Update KB2670838 to be installed & Aero enabled.

I can see from the info provided above it appears to be an issue with the .NET Framework, which Affinity uses on Windows. Can you please download the latest version from the below link and ensure this is installed also?

https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet-framework/net48

Once these updates are installed and Aero enabled, restart your PC and try installing once again. Does this resolve the error you're seeing please?
