ClearlyOutOfTime Posted April 10, 2022 Posted April 10, 2022 Affinity Version: 1.10.5.1342 Windows Version: Windows 10 Home Behaviour: When I enter a style menu and select a font, the app does not display the font drop down menu, freezes for a second, and then crashes immediately. This happens whether it is a paragraph style menu or a character style menu. Selecting a font from the primary screen (i.e. when using the Text Box or Artistic Text tools) works. Attempted mitigations: Tried opening a new document, restarting, uninstalling and reinstalling. Nothing worked. Quote
Staff stokerg Posted April 11, 2022 Staff Posted April 11, 2022 Hi @ClearlyOutOfTimeand Welcome to the Forums, Could you attach your latest crash report? To find the report, please see this link. Also, can you try starting Publisher using the --disable-font-preview-cache flag makes any difference? Restart your PC and once restarted, press the Windows Key + R on your keyboard to open the Run dialog and then type CMD and press Enter. This will launch Command Prompt. Presuming you have the app installed in the default location, type in cd "C:\Program Files\Affinity\Publisher\" and press Enter. Now type: Publisher --disable-font-preview-cache and press Enter - the app will now launch. Are you able to replicate the crash when selecting a font now? Quote
ClearlyOutOfTime Posted April 11, 2022 Author Posted April 11, 2022 Hey, thanks - Restarting and disabling the font preview cache did it. stokerg 1 Quote
