lysynski Posted April 10, 2022 Posted April 10, 2022 I created a simple macro to create 2 overlay layers 50% grey; when I click on the macro it doesn't always execute, I usually have to click it a several times and sometimes it'll execute several times. I've deleted and recreated the macro several times they all behave the same. I created a new document and it behaves the same. I restarted Photo and it behaves the same. I've restarted the computer and it still behaves the same way. Photo 1.10.5 MacOS Monterey 12.2.1 Apple magic mouse Dodge & Burn.afmacro Quote
Staff Callum Posted April 11, 2022 Staff Posted April 11, 2022 Hi Lysynski, I have tried replicating this here at my end but the Macro seems to be working every time. If possible could you provide a screen recording of the issue? Out of interest when you play the Macro and nothing happens does the History panel show an entry for the Macro? Thanks C Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
Staff James Ritson Posted April 11, 2022 Staff Posted April 11, 2022 Hi @lysynski, is this when running the macro from the Library panel? Try taking your mouse off the desk/surface and single clicking on a macro entry. There's a really fine tolerance on macOS for testing between a single click and a drag, and it's probably this that is causing the issue. The developers are aware of it so hopefully it can be addressed. Quote @JamesR_Affinity for Affinity resources and more Official Affinity Photo tutorials
lysynski Posted April 11, 2022 Author Posted April 11, 2022 (edited) Hi @JamesR_Affinity I tried your lifted mouse trick and it works, it looks like it's the single click / drag issue your already working on - thanks for the help. Edited April 11, 2022 by lysynski Quote

I programmed one of the tablet buttons to be a Click for Photo and hovering the pen over the macro and hitting the tablet button will run the Macro.
