Engineering_text
I'm creating an engineering hand book. A previous DTP software had a "short words list". this mean that as I show in the subject line "Dr._" would be a short word that stays with the following word. The "_" of course not being visible, but it is the indicator of whether the short word stays with the previous or stays with the following word. For my engineering book, if I reference "100 psi" I would have "_psi" listed in my short words list so that the 100 and the psi would not end up on separate lines. This comes up a whole lot in what I am writing. I need to know if Affinity has a way of setting up a list and managing this. thank you Quote Windows 10, Affinity Publisher 1.10.5.1342, i7-5820k, 6 cores,3.3GHz, 32GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070
thomaso
In the app Preferences > Auto-Correct you can define custom text to be used/replaced when typing the entries of the "Replace" column of this dialog window. A non-breaking spaces can get placed via the menu Text > Insert > Spaces and Tabs > non-breaking space. You can assign a custom keyboard shortcut to this glyph.
