wrt12345 Posted April 8, 2022 Posted April 8, 2022 Hi Forum, I would like to know if it's possible. So I have 2 layers and I want to make the exact same selection on both layers then delete the waste from both layers without touching the selection on both layers is this possible? Hope this makes sense. Thanks in advance Wayne Quote

Yes, that’s entirely possible! A ‘marching ants’ selection doesn’t belong to any particular layer, so you just need to highlight the target layer in the Layers panel and delete the selected region. The only proviso is that the target layer must be identified as a ‘Pixel’ layer, not an ‘Image’ layer or a ‘Fill’ layer; if you’ve highlighted an Image layer and you want to delete selected pixel from it, you firstly need to right-click on it and choose ‘Rasterize’ to convert it to a Pixel layer. Are you sure about this not working on a Fill layer? It seems to work fine for me on my Mac, as shown in this Fill with delete.afphoto example (3 step history included). Like with Image layers, marching ants selections don't work with them. RichardMH Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 You can also save the Pixel Selection as a Spare Channel in Channels so its always there. Quote
