thomaso Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 When I try to send a new message (no reply), I get the error message that the user cannot receive messages – although I am able to reply. Is this a setting of mine / or of the recipient / or is it a software issue? I have tried with logout + login, but no change. affinity forum private message error.m4v Quote macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1
R C-R Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 Try it without the leading "@" in the To field. thomaso 1 Quote All 3 1.10.8, & all 3 V2.6 Mac apps; 2020 iMac 27"; 3.8GHz i7, Radeon Pro 5700, 32GB RAM; macOS 10.15.7 All 3 V2 apps for iPad; 6th Generation iPad 32 GB; Apple Pencil; iPadOS 15.7
thomaso Posted April 7, 2022 Author Posted April 7, 2022 Wow, yes, that's it! Thank you! … Now, without @, also the expected pop-up menu occurs: Shouldn't the message rather say "@xyz is no existing user name", if I typed with @ … or simply ignore the @ ? kenmcd 1 Quote macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1

Yes, I think it probably should say "No such user name" or the like. thomaso and kenmcd 2 Quote All 3 1.10.8, & all 3 V2.6 Mac apps; 2020 iMac 27"; 3.8GHz i7, Radeon Pro 5700, 32GB RAM; macOS 10.15.7 All 3 V2 apps for iPad; 6th Generation iPad 32 GB; Apple Pencil; iPadOS 15.7
