Coloured circle/dot on screen

I’m new to affinity so this may be a silly question - but all of a sudden this brown circle/dot appears on every file that I open. I may have pressed something by accident - now I can’t get rid of it? Any ideas?

Welcome to the Affinity Forums

Your screenshot shows the Colour Picker Loupe - which usually appears when pressing and holding on the canvas to 'pick' a colour from your design - however I've not heard of this showing when creating a document before, and I can see the colour it is 'picking' does not exist on your canvas.

Can you please confirm for me, are you pressing/holding a finger down on screen when creating a document, or does this appear if you aren't touching the screen after selecting the document to be created?

I'd like to try force restarting your iPad, to see if this resolves things. Firstly please make sure the Affinity app is fully closed, then follow the below FAQ to restart your iPad -

Once restarted, open Affinity and create a new document - does this resolve the issue for you please?
