I have been using Affinity Photo for a few years now and really enjoy it. Recently, I have been having problems getting the crop grid to show. At first, I found that restarting the program seemed to clear it. However, now I cannot get it to display at all.

I am using an iMac running Catalina 10.15.7

I have checked the overlay and it shows "Thirds Grid".

Is this a known issue and is there a solution?

Thank you

Hi Simon P,

Welcome to the forums :)

As far as I'm aware this isn't a known issue if possible could you provide a screen recording demonstrating this problem?

Thanks
C

Hi,

The next time it occurs, I will try to capture it. When you say screen recording, do you mean a screenshot or something else?

Thanks,

A screenshot or video recording should be ideal :) On Mac you should be able to use Quick time to record your screen.

OK, I see how to do that. Thank you.

Hi Simon,

Thanks for the recording!
If you go into the apps preferences under performance is Metal Compute Acceleration enabled? If it is does disabling it fix this issue at all?

Thanks
C

Hi Callum,

Metal Compute Acceleration is not enabled (no compatible GPU)
