Hi - I'm trying to draw a simple small black circle using the ellipse tool. But the ellipse tool also generates a larger thick white halo centered around the black circle. The small black circle and the white halo are part of one object; I can's select the halo separately and delete it.  The Help function makes no mention of an automatically generated halo. All I want is a simple circle. Anybody know how to just make a simple circle? Thanks - Stella

Are you perhaps talking about a stroke applied to the ellipse shape?

The stroke panel is open over to the right side. But if I change over to the color panel, and try to make the circle, the halo forms too. The Layers panel is calling the object and ellipse, but it looks like a bulls eye.

Make a screenshot of the whole app window (including shown panels) and share it here, so people can better tell you what happens.

Thanks so much. In the interim, I opened and closed the program and now it's behaving normally. Yipes. Thanks for your interest and next time (hope it never happens again) I'll take a screen shot.
