So, I got an error while saving a large document in Affinity Photo that "The file appears to be truncated (shorter than expected)."

I was forced to close the app and since then I can't open that document. Using disk drill I managed to recover two previously saved versions of that document that are significantly larger.

None of them could be opened by Affinity Photo.

Is there any hope?

Thank you for your answer. I uploaded the latest copy of the document that I was able to recover. Please let me know if you can get anything out of it. I'm also sending an older copy that I recovered, a smaller file, in case the other one doesn't yield anything useful.

Unfortunately, I have been unable to recover your Affinity document using the methods we would normally use to recover these kinds of documents. We can only suggest that you revert to a backup of the document or if your document is synced to cloud storage, it may have a File History feature that should allow you to download a previous version of the file.

We have also logged your Affinity document along with the additional information you supplied with our developers to see if they can figure out what originally caused the issue and if the problem can be avoided in a future update.

Thanks for looking into this. I had sent two files:

- `mw panorama 1` - 3.65 GiB

- `mw panorama 2` - 2.49 GiB

May I ask if you received both and which one you tried to recover? The 2.49gb one is an older save which could be still useful if recovered.

Hello there, I resent the second file (`mw panorama 2` - 2.49 GiB ) just in case it didn't came through. Please let me know if you can get anything out of it. It's been a disaster out of nowhere.
