Dear all,

I am relatively new to Affinity Photo, but I have huge problems exporting jpg files. For example, I have the file "Pinguine.afphoto" (see attachment) and I want to export a jpg file. The settings are 1232 x 1743 px (original size), max. jpg quality (100), bilinear, whole document. After export, the jpg files have random errrors, please see the files "Pinguine1.jpg", "Pinguine2.jpg", "Pinguine3.jpg" and "Pinguine4.jpg".

When I export as a png file, I encounter the same problems, also with gif. Tiff seems to work fine.

I am using Affinity Photo version 1.10.5.1342 on Windows 10 (64 bit) version 20H2.

Best regards,

Christian

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums.

It is likely that in your Affinity Photo Preferences (Edit > Preferences in the menu) you have Hardware Acceleration (OpenCL) enabled in the Performance settings. If so, turning it off will probably resolve your problem. It is shown enabled in this screenshot; just uncheck that box:

It is also possible that updating your GPU drivers would resolve the problem, but this is probably the simplest "fix" for the problem you're seeing.

Hi Walt,

wow - that was a really fast reply! Thank you very much, disabling this setting indeed solved my problems!

Hi there,

Affinity

Is there maybe an explanation for the best settings I cannot seem to find out. Exporting to pdf seems to be fine now... but when i copy y new designed logo to a design for the facebook banner it looks horribly pixelated.

I am also very new to Affinity.. but never had any issues with exporting png's. The above suggested setting i allready tried.

Oh I am sorry I seem to have deleted the beginning of my question...

I am also having problems exporting to png and jpeg. I designed a logo but when i want to export a png it looks horrible.

Also for example when I design a facebook banner and add the logo to it.
