LilleG
I can create a new style by using Add Style From Selection. And I can Rename the style. But how do I create an icon for it?
Staff MEB Posted December 14, 2015 Staff Share Posted December 14, 2015 Hi LilleG, There's no way to change the default shape used to display Styles. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software | Affinity Quick Reference
LilleG
That's not what I mean. When I created the user style, it had no icon at all. Just a blank gray rectangle that appears when you hover over it then click on when you want to apply it.
LilleG
Bump! I don't want to change the default shape; the styles I created have no icon at all. I can use the styles; I can rename them, or delete them but there is no icon above the name. If I click above the name, I get a gray rectangle and the style activates. What am I doing wrong? I used the "Add Style from Selection" command.
Staff MEB Posted December 15, 2015 Staff Share Posted December 15, 2015 Hi LilleG, I misunderstood your question. Sorry. The cog icon used to display styles in the styles panel should display automatically. The only thing i can suggest is to reset the app and check if they display properly. To do it, press and hold ⌃(ctrl) while launching the app, then select Clear from the dialog that will appear. LilleG
Thanks for the suggestion. It didn't work though. Prolly just another goofy 10.8.5 response. I also tried creating a new one. Same thing. No icon at all but it works perfectly so I don't really need icons.
