Textfield rounded borders - stop automatic indent

Recommended Posts

Hello folks,

I have a simple question: I made a textfield with rounded borders. Now I wont to stop the automatic indent. As you can see on the screenshoot the first word on the first line is far and the first word of the second line a little bit drifted to the right due to the rounded corners. Can I do anything against this?

Thanks and best regards!

Text frames with rounded borders work not so well. A better - longer - approach is, to create a rounded rectangle, set the text wrap to Inside and place your text frame above the rectangle.

Hi @NoSeriousName

The easiest way is to place the rounded rectangle under the text layer.

I've done this with APhoto, but the steps in Publisher are equal. And by the way, I have done some text correction.

Edit:
Set the text wrap for the rounded rectangle to None

I would recommend using Clipping, this will tie the Rectangle and the Frame Text so that their mutual position does not have to be checked all the time.

By setting the parameters of the Text Frame, the desired placement of the text inside the Rectangle will occur.
