Wacom Intuos pen settings

I’ve just bought a Wacom Intuos to expand my drawing capabilities but I’m not really getting the hang of it. I want to use the pen to paint and sketch and would like to be able to quickly adjust colors as I paint. Does anyone have any really good tips to do this? Or alternatively, any recommendations for video tutorials using Intuos pens with Affinity Photo?

I don't personally use a Wacom device, however I'm, aware that many of our forums regulars do, alongside other drawing tablets so I'm hoping they can provide more 'first hand' insight for you.
