Lonny Jarrett Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 Im using Affinity Designer 1.10.5 on a 2016 MacBook pro Big Sur. I want to make a 4x6 card with a photo on the front and text on the back. When I import a photo (hi res) its much larger than the picture frame. How do I make the photo the same size as the frame? I realize not all photos are this proportion But Id like to get them as close as possible and then frame them as I see fit. I cant figure out a way to do this. Also, How do I set up a template so each file has a 4x6" front with a photo and then text on back? Any advice? Thank you! Quote
firstdefence Posted March 29, 2022 Posted March 29, 2022 You can use the transform panel to scale an image down to 6 x 4 in or 4 x 6 in. Make sure the aspect ratio is locked so that you can scale the width or height and the other dimension will scale proportionately. You can simply enter the units you want along with the value. E.g., 4in or 25mm or whatever. Or you can switch your document units, and it will then default to the new units. You're welcome. I don't understand that question; sorry. Do you want to know how to transform a second frame, how to create a second frame, or something else? Probably, when using Designer, I would use an Artboard for the front, and another for the back, both the same size. The print shop you use may have different ideas about what is best for them. I would suggest talking to them about how they want the files delivered.
